      Cristina Romeo, a maven of eyebrows and make-up for over 30 years, has educated dozens of artists nationwide. Her cosmetics career includes television, fashion shows and motion pictures spanning from New York City to San Francisco, from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. to Florence Italy. Cristina has applied make-up for congresswomen, senior VP of major networks, newscasters, celebrities, princesses, models and countless professional women and mothers. She has applied make-up for hundreds of brides and has probably done over 50 thousand eyebrows nationwide.
      Cristina created Polaris Cosmetics nearly 10 years ago, her loyal clientele adores the quality she provides in both her products and services. In 2002 Cristina decided it was time to provide a professional environment that was not only beautiful and soothing but was also entertaining and educational. Jessica Kohn-Erlandsen   Hair Stylist & Make-Up Artist
      Jessica Kohn-Erlandsen began her hair and make-up career over 5 years ago in the State of California, where she is a licensed cosmetologist. She started out in the entertainment industry creating beautiful work for music videos, commercials, motion pictures and television. Jessica has appeared as the featured make-up artists for reality television such as “Live Like A Star” on Fox and “How do I look” on E! Entertainment’s Style Network. Jessica has done freelance work for print, editorial and high fashion shoots. She most recently was asked to join the team of make-up artists for the Valentino’s Catwalk for Charity show held in Los Angeles. She has also worked on Missoni, Blumarine and Pucci fashion shows to name a few. Jessica has worked with fitness guru Kathy Smith and is the key hair and make-up artist to Daniel Cerny and many other directors.
      Jessica began working with Polaris Cosmetics in 2003 and offers our clients her high fashion advice and styling.

Jacquelyn DeRosa
      Jacquelyn DeRosa began he career with Polaris Cosmetics, Inc. in 2004. She graduated from The Marinello School of Beauty in Los Angeles, having studied skin care and makeup.
      Jacquelyn has always had an amazing eye for fashion. Prior to studying to be an esthetician, she attended the renowned Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Having grown up in an artistic household, Jacquelyn always knew her career would lead down a creative path.
      As a young girl, Jacquelyn modeled and acted, so naturally makeup and beauty appealed to her. She knew she wanted to continue to work within the entertainment industry, but on the other side of the chair. Recently, Jacquelyn was asked to do makeup for the Orpah Show, on legendary actress Merial Hemmingway. She has assisted famed Makeup Artist, Klexius Koby, one of the personal makeup artists for Madonna, Janet Jackson and Eva Longoria. Jacquelyn has also been a key makeup artist for countless runway shows for top designers like Pucci, Valentino and Blue Marine. She’s done everything from makeup for Inter Force Records’ album covers to movies for the American Film Institute.
      Jacquelyn DeRosa is true Los Angeles style and talent; she embodies everything that is current and fashionable. Kristal Clouston
      In her childhood Kristal loved to play with her mother’s makeup. As she matured she coupled that joy she found in her youth with a business degree. She began working in the skin care and cosmetic industry. Assuming a role as upper management she quickly realized corporate life was not for her and rediscovered her passion for makeup artistry. She returned to school in pursuit of her true calling and has not looked back since.
      Kristal Clouston is a licensed esthetician and creative makeup artist with experience multiple aspects of media makeup including fashion, print, and video. Trained and mentored by Cristina Romeo, she provides her clients with dependable, detail oriented work that will enhance a person’s natural beauty while bringing out their inner beauty and individuality. Her passion, drive and professionalism made Kristal a valuable asset to the Polaris team and an instant hit with her rapidly growing clientele. Aja Luca
      Working behind the scenes as administrative assistant to owner and creative director Cristina Romeo, Aja gets to see all the action from the inside out. It’s safe to say that wherever the Polaris team is Aja isn’t too far behind helping in anyway needed. With her duties sometimes falling outside of the scope of an administrative assistant she is the Polaris go to girl for our team, our P.R. firm and anyone who might need her.
      Aja handles booking all bridal appointments, charity events and workshops for Polaris Cosmetics, and is currently working on launching Polaris’s wholesale division with one of our Senior Artists, Jacquelyn DeRosa. Caroline Buss - Esthetician & Make-up Artist
      Caroline Buss started getting interested in skin care and makeup artistry in her teen years. She remembers older family members and friends always talking about the “do’s and don’ts” of growing old gracefully. Caroline was always ready to listen and take good advice. She was also always in the mirror with her makeup and brushes trying to recreate looks from magazines.
      After working in the child care business teaching the fun and joy of arts and crafts, Caroline decided she wanted to go to school- hoping to land a job in the make-up and skin care industry. Caroline attended The Institute of Beauty in Wellness in Milwaukee WI, and holds an Esthetician license in both WI and CA. Before even finishing beauty school Caroline landed her first real make-up job, working on the set of an independent film. Caroline’s past experience includes working on several movie sets, making up many blushing brides, and working for MAC Cosmetics.
      Since joining the Polaris team, Caroline has trained under Cristina Romeo, who has guided Caroline’s craft to a whole new level. Caroline is passionate, hard working and has a natural eye for eyebrow tailoring, resulting in a quickly growing clientele. Koko - Hair Stylist
      Koko has been a hairstylist since the early 90’s. His passion for the arts lead him into this industry because he looked at styling as a true art form.
      Imagine haircutting as pencil drawings with each line making a distinct affect on the outcome of the final hair cut & hair color is painting; each hue applied creates a myriad of textures, light and dark brings to life a riveting and stunning expression of the individuals beauty, add in a free form of techniques he enjoys using per hair type to finish the overall limitlessness of each individuals look.
      Koko was trained under Toni & Guy & Paul Mitchell’s Artistic members & continues his education as our world changes in fashion. Koko believe to be a hair dresser you need not only to be visionary but a dreamer because without dreaming it, you can’t see it or create it. He lives each day with this passion for the craft he respects, honors and loves more and more… 16 years and going strong.

Jennifer Schechter- Make-Up Artist
      Jennifer’s love for makeup started at an early age. She recalls being mesmerized as she watched her grandmother get ready for her day. She found herself constantly asking if she could help her grandmother apply her makeup.
      After high school Jennifer enrolled Joe Blasco Makeup School, hoping to turn her passion for makeup artistry into a career. While working as a freelance artist for 5 years, Jennifer had a chance encounter with Polaris Cosmetics Owner Cristina Romeo. Jennifer knew that she had found someone who could take her career to the next level. Finding out that in order to join the Polaris Cosmetics team she needed to be a California Licensed Esthetician, Jennifer quickly enrolled in school again and began training under Cristina to learn the signature Polaris style.
      Jennifer has worked with Polaris Cosmetics since late 2008, and now has been given the opportunity to head up her own location in Woodland Hills. Polaris West Valley, located inside of Claudio Marino Hair Design opened its doors February 1, 2010 with Jennifer there 5 days a week to accommodate her quickly growing clientele.
